Lengadoc als quatre vents...
Everything which made Languedoc: troubadour sirventés,
'regrets' in which the oboe is king, joust and Camargue bull melodies,
and those of the carnival ('fecas" from Limoux), dances and laments
from
the Black Mountain, a homage to Trenet and Brassens, without forgetting
the rythms of Spain or Italy, whose immigrants also made this
region (listen to the 'tarentelles' on the concerts/baals page).

Volums I, II and
III
Philippe Carcassés has translated and sings
in the Occitan language (especially from Eastern Languedoc) several Brassens'
songs. He offers us these original CDs which also include instrumental
titles. The rare traditional instruments used: bodega (Languedoc
bagpipe), autboi and graile (popular oboes), frestèu (pan
pipe) create a strongly folkloric atmosphere on these compilations accompanied
by an insert of the songs in the Occitan language.
